| Graffeo Leather began its operations
with Colombian Capital Stock in 1984. Highly qualified workers, of no less
than 10-15 years experience each, were key in orchestrating our emergence
into the international marketplace, with business in the United States,
Germany, Puerto Rico, Chile, Costa Rica, and Spain. Being an organization
with the development of the country in mind, Graffeo always strived to generate
employment for large numbers of the populace. At present, we are proud to
employ the growing figure of 150 people. |

Our manufactured product is made of 100% national cowhide leather,
which means that the process of tanning does not change its natural characteristics.
The leather is bought by the
tanners and brought to the tanneries where the majority of its treatment is
conducted through use of ecological chemicals. The fur is then removed, and the proper thickness of
leather is obtained depending on the necessities of each manufacture. After that, greasy chemicals,
strictly of animal origin, are added to give softness to the leather. Finally, the leather is
tanned in different colors and shipped to our factory. Here, our workers proceed with the cutting,
peeling, assembling, needlework, and final softening finishes, the wrapping, and finally the
shipment. |
